If he is to do business in the window then boss is only after the right characters for his dressing room.
. Steve Davis says that if he was to bring any other loan players in during the transfer window then they would have to fit his criteria. The Alex boss will only bring in the right type of character to help us in our fight against relegation
Steve has a meeting later this afternoon with chairman John Bowler to discuss his current loan players and the possibility of bringing in some fresh faces, but much will depend on their parent clubs and if they will be willing to extend.
Davis has had positive talks with our three loan players Adam King, Semi Ajayi and Ryan Lowe about the possibility of them staying but he admits that any decision on their future rests with their respective clubs.
Steve told the club’s official web-site: “I have spoken to the three players and had a positive conversation with them to what they want to do. They done well for us but with any loan deal it all depends on what their clubs wish to do.
“If we could tie them again then great but we have other possibilities in mind if we can’t do it. I have a conversation with the chairman later today about what I would like to do and then it will be a question of speaking to their clubs and seeing if anything can be done.
“If we can get again then that would be a good start and then we will talk about what else we could need.
“I would have to get the right character. Some players won’t be prepared to come here and join in a relegation scrap. You have to attract that right person and we know we are in a relegation fight, so it has to be right for us. We want those characters who will do everything they can to try and keep the team in the division.”
