Steve Davis says he would still in interested in a loan deal for Ryan Lowe after the striker came on as a sub against us last night.

Steve Davis has told the club’s official web-site that ‘if he can do a deal for Ryan Lowe then we will’. The veteran striker came on for the final 20 minutes of our encounter with Bury last night when replacing Tom Pope and Davis was asked about taking the 37-year-old back on loan following our goalless draw.

Steve said: “Ryan knows that that we would like him and if the opportunity arises to do something then we would do it.”

“Ryan has been used as a substitute here and there and I’m sure he wants more than that but it isn’t down to us.

“As we could see from the Bury appearance, we could do with something more in the final third of the pitch. Ryan would provide that help.”
