Lowe Remains Number One Choice

12 January 2016

Boss still hoping to entice veteran striker back to club on loan.

Steve Davis has told the club’s official web-site that he has not given up hope of re-signing Ryan Lowe on loan. The veteran striker, 37 was recalled by the Shakers after his initial loan deal expired on 5th January. Lowe, who scored two goals during his loan spell played for his parent club in their FA Cup tie against Bradford City. He came on fairly early as a substitute but was later withdrawn as the game ended goalless.

Steve told the club’s official web-site: “We are still in dialogue with Ryan and the people about Bury in regards to our interest in taking him back on loan but he is Bury’s player and they wanted him back.

“Maybe with the FA Cup tie going to a replay they will want to keep him for that as well but we’ll have to see it. We haven’t given up hope of something happening there but he belongs to Bury and we respect that.

“We would like another striker and someone up there who can score goals. We need help in that department with Ryan and Adam (King) going back to their respective clubs. We could do with another goalscorer and Ryan remains our number one choice.

“If we cannot get Ryan back then we will have to look at other options and I’m sure Neil (Baker) has a few names we can look at.”
