King: "I Loved It At Crewe"

7 January 2016

More from Adam King now on Crewe Alex PlayerHD

Adam King has exclusively told Crewe Alex Player HD that he is disappointed to be leaving Crewe Alexandra following a successful loan spell. King, 20, has returned to his parent club Swansea City after scoring five goals for Crewe Alexandra and making an impression as an attacking midfield player.

The Scotland Youth International was a popular member of Steve Davis’s squad and the Crewe boss was keen to extend his loan deal with us, but with Swans still to appoint a successor to manager Gary Monk, the Premier League club have recalled a number of their young loanees.

Adam told Crewe Alex Player HD: “I’m disappointed to be leaving, but obviously it’s good to be going back to Swansea to get settled down there and see what’s happening. Obviously they don’t have a Manager at the moment, so it will be good to go back there to see where it can take me.

“It’s not ideal to be leaving Crewe though. I’ve had a great six months here and I’ve enjoyed every second of it with these boys. It’s been great playing games in this division as well, it’s a great standard.

“I’ll definitely miss this if I go back into the Under 21’s. It’s League football, which is what every player wants to be playing, and I’ve loved every second of playing the games here.

“I’m lucky to have played as many times as I have and I can only thank the Manager and the backroom staff for the opportunities they’ve given me this season.”
