Academy graduate Joe Howell given squad number after displays for Under-21s.
Crewe Alexandra Academy graduate Joe Howell has earned the number 32 shirt and will travel with the first team squad later today in readiness for tomorrow’s clash at the County Ground. Howell, 19, has been included in the Crewe squad for the trip to Swindon after Chris Atkinson was loaned out to Crawley Town yesterday. Adam King has also returned to Swansea City following the conclusion of his loan deal.
Howell has been a consistent member of the development squad this season and has recently returned from a loan spell at Rushall Olympic along with team-mate Andre Brown. Midfielder Howell can play centrally or in one of the wider roles and is one of five first-team professionals who was rewarded with a deal last summer.
New signing Zouma Bakayogo is also expected to travel to Wiltshire after he signed non-contract terms until the end of the season. The full-back has been handed the number 41 shirt.
Crewe will be without the injured Harry Davis (knee), George Ray (ankle) and Lauri Dalla Valle (ankle) but Marcus Haber (foot) is fit and available for selection.
Kick off at the County Ground is 3pm.
