Davis Steps Up His Running

1 January 2016

Captain Harry Davis steps up his rehab from knee injury.

Club captain Harry Davis is making good progress in his rehabilitation from a knee injury. The central defender is recovering from the knee injury that has restricted him to just four appearances this season.

Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis says that the defender will have to train for a few weeks and participate in Development Squad matches before he is reconsidered for first team selection.

Steve told crewealex.net: “Harry is out running again. He has not re-joined us and will need a period of time before he can do that.

“He is training with the physio’s and sports scientists at the moment and it will be a question of him building up that work and assessing his recovery. We won’t rush him back unnecessarily.

“He is still in his rehab process and is improving all the time and we will continue to assess his progress every day.

“Once he is ready to train with us and do the contact work then he will be a few weeks off because he will have to train regularly and get back to playing again in the Under-21s before we consider him again.”
