Boss Still Keen On Loan Duo

Steve Davis hoping to extend loan deals for Lowe and Ajayi

Steve Davis has told the club’s official web-site that he is still keen to re-sign defender Semi Ajayi and Ryan Lowe on loan again. The Alex boss has to communicate with their respective clubs after holding positive talks with both players about extending their stay with us.

Crewe has lost midfielder Adam King though after he returned to his parent club Swansea City yesterday. King, 20, scored 5 goals during his loan stint with us in the first half of the season.

The Alex boss told us: “We will continue to have dialogue with the players and their clubs. It has been positive so far and if we can sign those two up again then that would be a good start to what we would like to do.

“Ryan has made a difference to the squad both on and off the pitch. He is a good influence around the place and has put in good performances.

“Semi is a young player who will only improve with the games. He is a bit different because he is cover to our injured centre halves (George Ray and Harry Davis). He has done a good job and would have benefitted from the experience.

He added: “We would also have liked to kept Adam but Swansea wanted him back. He has scored some important goals for us and had a great attitude. He is a great lad and wants to improve and I’m sure he would have benefitted from playing competitive games with us. We wish him well. “
