Crewe's injured on the way back for the run-in.
Crewe Alexandra’s treatment room is looking a lot healthier at just the right time. Defenders George Ray and Harry Davis resumed full training this week and forward Lauri Dalla Valle is running freely again after his ankle ligament injury that was sustained in an Under-21 fixture against Leeds.
Midfielder Billy Bingham has visited a consultant and had an injection in his hamstring to free the muscle while young Ryan Wintle will remain in his protective boot for a further two weeks after he suffered a broken bone in his foot.
Steve Davis told the club’s official web-site: “We are getting some players back to fitness now. George and Harry are back training with us and we are gently re-introducing them into the work.
“Harry went to St. George’s for some testing yesterday. It was just to assess how his knee was in relation to his return to training.
“Lauri is running freely and with movement and he is not too far away from returning to training. He is just behind the other two.
“Billy has had an injection to solve a nerve problem in his hamstring and into the back. It is just to calm it down a bit and it will benefit him. I’m sure he will kick on next week.
“Ryan still has the protective boot on but he will be fine to work again when it comes off in the next two weeks.”
