Alex boss says there are 15 Cup Finals left to avoid the drop.
Steve Davis says there ‘are 15 Cup Finals remaining’ to make sure we remain in League One. The Alex travel to fellow strugglers Chesterfield this weekend hoping to extend our unbeaten run to seven matches.
Three points for the Railwaymen would see us go level with Danny Wilson in our quest to remain in League One.
Steve told the club’s official web-site: “There are 15 games remaining, a third of the season to go and we know what we have to do.
“We met with the players before the Rochdale game and we showed them the remaining fixtures and the league table. We also told them that we still have to play seven of the teams in and around us and Chesterfield is one of them.
“Every game from now until the end of the season is a big one for us. They are all massive games. There are 15 cup finals left and we will be taking each one as they come.
“We know what we have to do and we want to keep our little run going for as long as we can. It is giving us great confidence and belief and we know what the incentive is if we can beat Chesterfield this weekend.
The boss added: “We are only focussed on putting on a good performance there. The good things about this club is that we don’t panic when we are down there. We keep calm and that keeps the players relatively calm.”
