Steve says his squad is taking it one game at a time as they head for Chesterfield this weekend.
Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis has told the club’s official web-site that his players ‘are enjoying the challenge that lies in front of them’.
A superb comeback from two goals down at Rochdale on Tuesday evening saw us extend our unbeaten run to six games. The mini-run that has seen us draw five and defeat Rochdale 2-0 at Gresty Road earlier this month has certainly built some momentum and Davis says his squad is just taking one game at a time as we aim to stage another great escape.
Steve told crewealex.net: “It is always an exciting stage of the season and the players are embracing the challenge that is there in front of them. They are enjoying it and that is actually what we want from them.
“They held Walsall, who were second at the time on Saturday and then had another tough away game at Rochdale on Tuesday night. It is always tough there and the conditions didn’t help. It was raining and windy on a boggy pitch but they really put a shift in for the club and that is what we want to take into the Chesterfield game on Saturday.”
