Striker forced out for season with serious knee injury
Crewe Alexandra's on-loan Southampton striker Ryan Seager has returned to his parent Club after suffering a serious anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury.The 20-year-old is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines after sustaining the problem late in the first half at Rochdale on Tuesday night, having scored his first professional goal ten minutes earlier to draw The Alex level at 2-2 in the match.
The move to Crewe was Seager's first taste of professional football and he had impressed during his four appearances at the Club, starting on three occasions.
