Inman Rest Is Paying Off

4 February 2016

Steve Davis delighted with Inman's recent contribution in the final third.

The in-form Brad Inman has scored four goals in his last four games for the club, which included a composed penalty at Millwall in our 1-1 draw at The Den. After being on the receiving end of some hefty challenges, most notably against Blackpool and Eastleigh in the FA Cup, Inman was handed a short rest out of the starting XI to recover from a succession of knocks and now boss Steve Davis is hoping the team will reap those rewards through Inman’s performances.

Steve Davis told the club’s official web-site: “Brad needed a break because he was carrying some knocks and we feel that the rest will have done him good. He has come back in and started where we left off for us. He has had a decent season so far. He has scored seven goals and there is no reason why with the number of games we have left that he cannot get to double figures and beyond.

“He is looking really dangerous again and has scored four in four games. His penalty at Millwall was excellent in a pressurised situation and he has great pace. Every defender fears an attacker with pace.

He added: “He has been performing really well and it is up to him to maintain that and try and earn himself a new deal. I am sure he is benefitting from that little rest and hopefully he will be a really key player for us in the last few months of the season.”
