Haber Targets Consistent Home Form

11 February 2016

Marcus Haber knows that Crewe have to keep on picking up points at home if we are to avoid the drop.

Marcus Haber has told the club’s official web-site that the Crewe Alexandra dressing room was buzzing after we won our first game since November on Saturday. Haber got the ball rolling with his first League goal at the Alexandra Stadium this season, when heading home George Cooper’s well struck corner. Brad Inman sealed the points with a dazzling individual goal on the stroke of half-time.

Following on from that 2-0 win over Rochdale, Haber told us: “It was a great feeling to win against Rochdale last weekend. It was nice to win at home and in front of the home fans and that is now four unbeaten so we are happy with the way things are going.

“We know we have to keep on winning matches. The draws have helped up restore some confidence and belief but we know we have to try and win games to give us those extra points if we can.

“We were happy with the performance last week because we managed to put a consistent 90 minutes together and we haven’t always been able to do that this season. Going four games without a loss has given us something to build on and we have to keep going now.

“The manager was on to us not to try and overplay on the pitch. It was always going to be difficult in the wind and the rain to play great football but I think we adjusted to the conditions well and tried to play in their final third as much as possible.

The Canadian International added: “It was credit to the team because we were really up for up for it and we managed to get a positive result.”
