Cheshire Senior Cup tie on after pitch inspection
Crewe Alexandra's Cheshire Senior Cup Second Round tie at Stockport tonight will go ahead as planned after Edgeley Park passed a pitch inspection this afternoon.The Alex progressed to this round after dismantling Witton Albion 5-0 in the Preliminaries in October, before seeing off Altrincham 6-0 at Gresty Road last week.
The game had been in doubt after heavy rainfall in the Manchester area, but after an upturn in conditions today, the pitch is playable and the match will go ahead.
For Crewe fans wishing to travel, it's pay on the gate and will be a 7:45pm kick-off.
