Harry Davis to train for the first time today since injury lay-off
Club captain Harry Davis will participate in the training warm-up for the first today after undergoing fitness tests all week. Davis was given the all-clear to resume training again by a consultant in London last week and he has been able to step up his rehab.
Davis has not featured since injuring his knee away at Walsall back in September but he is expected to be in with a chance of returning towards the end of the month or at the beginning of March.
Steve Davis said: “We will have to take things steady with Harry and build up his fitness level but he will join in the warm up for the first time today and will join in with some of the football drills.
“He has done his testing this week to see where he is physically and it is just a question of managing that because he has been out for a few months and will need a bit time. He will get fit with the training and the extra work he will do.
“I’m sure when the work load intensifies that he will have the odd day out because of soreness but we are confident that he is on course to be available towards the end of the month.”
