George struggling with quads strain.

Crewe Alexandra’s teenage forward George Cooper is rated as a doubt for tomorrow night’s trip to Rochdale after aggravating his thigh. Cooper, 18, has recently regained his place in the first-team and produced one of his most outstanding displays away at Millwall when he won a penalty in the 1-1 draw with the Lions.

Cooper’s absence could give one or two an opportunity of stating at Spotland with Zoumana Bakyogo, the favourite to start unless Steve Davis elects to alter his formation.

Crewe will be without injured defenders George Ray and Harry Davis, as well as midfielders Ryan Wintle and Billy Bingham. Forward Lauri Dalle Valle is also out as he recovers from his broken ankle.
