Steve Davis says they have targetted possible Seager replacement.

Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis says he is homing in on a potential forward to replace the injured Ryan Seager.

Steve and his staff have been busy trying to find a replacement for loanee Seager, who was unfortunately injured away at Rochdale and are now close to concluding a loan deal. The player is thought to be keen to play for Crewe Alexandra and we are just seeking confirmation from his parent club.

Steve told the club’s official web-site: “We are close to getting one in and we hope to conclude that soon. The player is keen to come here and we just need the club to agree.

“He is a forward with a good scoring record and we think he would make a difference to us after we lost Ryan (Seager)

“We need goals to win games and that is why we have been eager to bring a proven one in.”
