Boss: "Brad's Future Has Been Discussed"

9 February 2016

Steve Davis says he would like to keep Brad Inman beyond his current deal.

. Steve Davis has told the club’s official web-site that he would like to keep Brad Inman beyond his current deal. The in-form forward goes out of contract in the summer but the Crewe Alexandra boss has stated that in this type of form, he would like to extend the stay of the former Newcastle United youngster

Inman has scored five goals in his last five games and certainly caught the eye with his stunning solo run and finish against Rochdale at the weekend.

Steve has revealed to crewealex.net that the future of Inman has already been tentatively discussed.

He said: “We have already spoken about Brad and his future. That took part briefly before the Millwall game and on his current form he would be one we would like to keep. It is irrelevant which division you are in really, you just want your better players to stay.

“Brad is playing very well at the moment and has developed into a match winner for us. It has got to the stage where we are already thinking about the squad for next season and the players we want to look to keep. We have a few out of contract and Brad is one of them.

“We have a lot of things to consider but have recently signed up Ryan (Wintle) and George (Cooper) on new deals. We try and reward our players with new contracts when they have earned them. I try not to wait until the summer when it can become a bit of rat race and things can drag on a bit.

“Brad is one we have discussed and we’ll just have to wait and see.”
