Steve says on his day Ikpeazu can be a match winner with his powerful attributes.
Steve Davis admits that on his day, our former loanee striker Uche Ikpeazu can almost be unplayable. The likeable Londoner had three loan spells at Gresty Road from his then club Watford - but he later signed for rivals Port Vale and then joined Cambridge in the summer following his release from the Premier League side.
Davis remains a fan of the powerful striker and he knows his centre-halves will be in for a physical contest this weekend.
The boss told crewealex.net: “Uche is unpredictable and that makes it tough for defenders but he is a great lad and I enjoyed working with him.
“On his day he can be a real threat. He can be difficult to contain but our defenders should know him. They will know his strengths and weakness.
“It will be good to catch up with him after the game. He has now got himself into the team on a regular basis and has scored some goals, so he will be one we will have to be wary of.”
