Boss says it would a bit of risk to turn to fit-again left-back.
This weekend’s home game against Crawley Town may have come around too quickly for left-back Zoumana Bakayogo. The former Leicester City man has trained this week in an attempt to declare himself fit for the visit of the Red Devils but Steve Davis wants the athletic full-back to be at top speed.
November. thBakayogo has been struggling with a hamstring injury after sustaining the injury against Plymouth Argyle on 12
Steve told the club’s official web-site: “Zoumana is close but this game may have come around too soon for him. He is almost at full speed and that is where we want him to be.
“He has been building up all week and he is almost there but he is not quite 100% and with the amount of time he has been out, it would be a gamble. We don’t want him to break down. We want him to be at his maximum because of his ability to get up and down the pitch. “
