Boss disappointed that individual errors have crept back into our performances.
Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis says his team have allowed individual errors to creep into our performances and he is determined to help eradicate them as we enter the busy festive period.
Ahead of our Boxing Day home match with Carlisle United, Steve told the club’s official web-site: “We have been making too many mistakes of late, too many individual errors.
“We have to eradicate those individual errors because it is difficult to come back in this division. What we have found is that if a team go a goal up they are quite content to sit back, kill time and protect what they have. It makes it difficult to break teams down when they get everyone behind the ball and are prepared to slow the game down.
“They very rarely go for the jugular and look for more goals. We have made mistakes in the last three games and conceded some avoidable goals. That only makes things harder for us to come back in games. The first goal is always crucial regardless of what level you play at.”
