Boss aims to take full advantage of busy festive period of games.
Crewe Alexandra manager Steve Davis will conduct one last training session before his squad travels to Cambridge later today. The Alex boss says he has his starting XI in mind and a way he wants his players to play at Abbey Road this weekend.
Ahead of our first trip to Cambridge United since 1995, Steve told the club’s official web-site: “We will travel down today and give the players the best possible way to prepare. They will have a full rest and we always give them the right preparation to make sure they have the best possible chance of producing on the day.
“We will train today and go down to Cambridge later this afternoon. We will also go over some points on the opposition on the DVD and make sure they do not present any real surprises.
The boss added: “We want to win as many games as we can and the festive period is a good time to try and gather some pace. It is a crucial period of games and we want to make a good start for the busy period of fixtures because getting results in a short space of time can propel you up the league table.”
