Steve Previews Crawley Visit

9 December 2016

Steve Davis says Crawley will be aiming to bounce back from recent defeats.

Steve Davis has told the club’s official web-site that he expects a difficult encounter against Dermot Drummy’s Crawley side. The Red Devils will be looking bounce back from a 5-0 defeat to Yeovil Town in their last league outing and they were narrowly beaten 1-0 by Coventry City in the Checkatrade Trophy in mid-week.

Ahead of tomorrow’s game against Crawley, Steve told crewealex.net: “Crawley were well beaten at Yeovil and they narrowly lost to Coventry in the week, so Dermot (Drummy) will be looking for a reaction.

“It will be a tough game but we are looking for the same type of response after we lost heavily at Colchester. We’ve had a rest now and are ready for a game. We will see tomorrow if having those extras days to recover from our knocks and niggles has made a big difference. They have played more games than us lately.

“We had Crawley watched at Coventry in the week. They made a few chances and it is hard to judge a team from a match in the Checkatrade Trophy because managers do rest players. He made some changes in the game as well so it is difficult to assess but we have watched them before and have clips on them.”
