Boss admits dip in form but he remains convinced that we will turn it around soon.
Steve Davis has told the club’s official web-site that there is no reason to panic despite us slipping to 16th in the League Two table. The Alex boss has stressed that his team ‘has lost their way a bit’ in the last few weeks but he believes things will change very quickly once we get that positive result again.
Ahead our Boxing Day clash with Carlisle United on Monday, the boss said: “The players are all disappointed. We all are because we know we should be doing better. The players have shown that they can play at a good level this season but that has dropped over the last few weeks.
“I thought we were excellent in the first 10 games of the season but that has dropped off and we are trying to find the reasons behind that. They have lost their way a little bit but once we get that win or that performance then things can change very quickly.
“The confidence will come back and we will be able to turn it around. We just have to work even harder to make sure it happens sooner rather than later.”
