Boss thankful for positive support
Crewe Alex boss Steve Davis has stated his respect for everyone's opinion, whether positive or negative, in the wake of his side's 4-0 defeat to Colchester.
The Alex squad have got a weekend off after the disappointing collapse to Cheltenham in the FA Cup & Steve is pleased to still be receiving messages of support from differing supporter groups, whilst also respecting those who have been more vocal about the team's poorer results.
Steve said: "There's always going to be a few that voice their opinion when things aren't going well like they are at the moment.
"That's been the case over the last few years - Prior to that they were fine.
"When things are going well, fans are quiet, but things aren't going well, fans are noisy.
"We have a few fans that obviously have things to say & they do that through their social networks, which I don't get involved in, though I am told about & kept up-to-date with.
"Everyone is entitled to their opinion & for the few that show that discontent, there are many others that are supportive & I've had lots & lots of people over the last few years that have offered that support.
"They understand that it's a difficult job & they understand the things involved with managing this Football Club, the model & everything else that goes with it."
