What the press made of the defeat

The Chronicle
TWO calamitous mistakes gifted Crawley Town all three points at Gresty Road on Saturday.

A poor Crewe performance was compounded by individual errors by Perry Ng and Ben Garratt which handed Town striker James Collins two of the simplest goals of his career.

It means the Alex have now won just twice in 16 games and have dropped to 14th in the League Two table.

Crawley & Horley Observer
Two goals by top scorer James Collins earned Crawley Town a valuable away win at Crewe.

The Reds forward scored midway in each half, putting his total number of goals for the season up to 11.

It was a welcome return to winning ways following last weekend’s demoralising 5-0 defeat at Yeovil.
