14 December 2016

Steve Davis reiterates his desire to retain the services of his striker despite recent interest from Bury.

Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis remains confident of retaining his captain Ryan Lowe after Bury recently declared an interest in offering him a player/coaching role. The Crewe boss reiterate this week that the 38-year-old leading scorer remains a key part of his plans  as he aims to keep in touch with the top seven.

The Football Club are determined to retain a player, who has scored eight goals in all competitions this season and has certainly played a pivotal role with his experience.

Steve told crewealex.net: “It’s quietened down with Ryan (Lowe) but I don’t know what is happening behind the scenes with it. I suppose it will depend on how determined Bury are to get their man and how determined we are to keep him.

“At the moment, Ryan is focussing on playing for us, I suppose time will tell.”
