Steve Davis says he remains confident of a deal being struck for Kiwomya loan.

Steve Davis remains confident that a deal to extend Alex Kiwomya’s loan deal can be reached between the two clubs. Steve has had positive feedback from Chelsea and from Kiwomya’s representative and he knows the talented wide man wishes to remain at Gresty Road until the end of the season. Kiwomya has scored 7 goals this season and provided key assists in other goals as Crewe aim to move back up the League Two table.

Davis recently revealed that Chelsea are looking for more of a contribution towards wages for us to retain the pacey winger.

Steve told crewealex.net: “There’s a little bit more on the deal financially. We are paying what we can afford in many respects.

“If they want us to pay a little more it’s whether we can to that or not. It’s an easy decision from our perspective because of what Alex has already achieved here. He’s playing every week and we have done the things we promised Chelsea we’d do.”
