Boss happy to add numbers to Alex Morris' U23 setup
Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis has shed some light over the loan move for Manchester City defender Callum Bullock.
The 18-year-old has been signed until January to play for Alex Morris' Under 23 side due to a shortage of defenders in that squad.
Steve said: "I didn't have a big part in that in terms of who it was. All I agreed was that we were very short in certain areas and there are certain players from our own group we didn't want to play in that defensive position because they're not defenders.
"It was felt by Dario and a few of the people around the Club that we try to get somebody into the position in the U23 setup that could help us out with numbers.
"This boy came along, he came recommended from sources at Man City, because he wasn't getting any games there and he could come in and help us.
"From that point of view, he's an 18-year-old kid who's not been getting game-time at Manchester City but has an opportunity to play some games here."
