Boss to utilise player versatility to maximise opportunity
Crewe Alexandra Manager Steve Davis could be set to rotate his line-up in the coming matches as the early season fixture congestion intensifies.
The gaffer is pleased with a number of his players’ versatility and could be set to shake things around to keep a consistent side together.
Steve said: “We’re ok in certain areas, but there are certain positions in the team and the squad where we are desperately short.
“We will have to move people into positions where they’re not used to playing just to fill gaps. We have got some versatility in the group so people can slot into different positions and we’re going to have to do that.
“With having a small squad I think it’s important that we have players who can play more than one position.”
