Boss says one could still go out to help with bringing a couple in before the end of the month.
Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis has not totally ruled out someone going out before the end of the transfer window at the end of the month. The Alex boss has explained all summer that he will allow certain members of his squad to leave if it means freeing up some money to strengthen in other departments.
Steve is still searching for an experienced midfielder to help his young group and says that offloading one would certainly assist his budget.
Steve told crewealex.net: “Part of the plan was to get one out to free up some money, but that hasn’t happened. It still could happen before the window closes at the end of the month.
“It is does happen then it would definitely help us. It would help us with the budget to make sure we get the right one or two into the Football Club.
The boss added: “I know that if we can find one that would a difference then the board would support me on that. We have had meetings about it and they understand the difference an extra one could make.”
