Experienced striker pleased to open his Crewe account
Crewe striker Chris Dagnall spoke after the Hartlepool clash of his delight at notching his first goal for the Club after his summer move to South Cheshire.
The 30-year-old netted regularly in pre-season, but was forced to wait until the regular season was into it's fourth game before registering officially.
Daggers opened the scoring in the 3-3 draw with Hartlepool with a deft finish at the near post to convert Alex Kiwomya's low cross.
Chris told crewealex.net: "I was over the moon to get my first goal, especially at home and to go 1-0 up.
"I hope that's the first of many to come and it's great to get off the mark.
"Saying that, if we get what we want at the end of the season and I don't score a single goal again then I'm happy.
"I'm sure if we keep playing like that then we'll keep creating chance and the goals will keep coming.
"We're working hard behind the scenes on the training ground with the Manager and James on being more creative in the final third for the strikers and a few things to see where we can do better.
"We watched a few videos during the week and it showed. We all listened to the Manager and James to what they want us to do and it paid off and hopefully now it continues."
