Steve targets bringing in another midfield player before the transfer deadline.
Following the 3-0 pre-season defeat to Lincoln City at the weekend, boss Steve Davis reiterated his desire to bring in another midfield player to bolster his options in the centre of the pitch.

The Alex boss revealed last week that he had met the board where the possibility of bringing in one or two new faces before the end of the August was high on the agenda. Davis says talks were positive and he has the backing of the board if he can find the right player to improve us.
Steve told crewealex.net: "I still need a midfield player. I would still like a big, strong, midfield player and I think that would have helped us at Lincoln.
"We've made a few enquiries but they have to be the right type, we have enough footballers.
He added: "We need someone who can help break the play up, spot things defensively, intercept the ball and keep things ticking over for us and I think that's the guy we're looking for and if we can get him in as quick as possible that would ideal."
