We Have To Play Differently Without Brad

8 April 2016

Steve Davis says losing pace of Inman is a blow ahead of derby clash.

Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis admits this side missed the pace and creativity of Brad Inman at Peterborough last weekend and with club’s leading marksman struggling to face Port Vale tomorrow, he says that we have to play differently in the final third.

Crewe head to Vale Park aiming to get the win that would prevent us being relegated at the home our League One neighbours and Davis says that if Inman isn’t involved then someone has to step up to the plate to become the potential match winner for us.

Steve told the club’s official web-site: “We missed Brad last week and we have missed him when he has not been available this season. He has had one or two niggling injuries and when he is not available then we do have to play a little differently.

“He is one of our players with that real explosive pace and he possess that ability to go past opponents. He can also run in behind with his pace and causes defences problems.

“The Vale game may come a bit too soon for him, so that means someone has to take their chance.

“We hope that Brad won’t be too long, if not this week then next week. “
