Sheridan Has Made Oldham Harder To Beat

22 April 2016

Steve Davis has nothing but praise for the job John Sheridan has achieved at Oldham during another spell.

Steve Davis has praised the job John Sheridan has achieved at this weekend’s opponents Oldham Athletic. The Latics are one win away from safeguarding their League One status and they will be looking to achieve just that in front of their own fans at Boundary Park.

Ahead of our trip to our North West rivals, Steve told the club’s official web-site: “John went down to Plymouth and did a good there before returning to Oldham for another spell.

“He knows what it is about and he has used his experience to get the results they have needed. He bought some players in on loan that have helped them.

“They have become harder to beat and because of that they have given themselves a chance in games. They have nicked some games by the odd goal and they are virtually there.

“We will be looking to go there and win the game because we want some results before the end of the season to build some momentum going into pre-season.

“It will be interesting to see how they approach the game tomorrow but we cannot worry about them too much and what they might or might not need. “
