Inman To Face Stoke City

26 April 2016

Inman to play in reserve friendly agianst the Potters.

Brad Inman will feature against our near neighbours Stoke City today in order for him to boost his match sharpness ahead of the weekend. Inman, who has been struggling with slight ligament trouble in the ankle over the last few weeks made his comeback as a second half substitute against Oldham Athletic at the weekend.

He went close to finding an equaliser for the Alex with three good efforts on goal, the best of which saw the impressive Joel Coleman make an outstanding one handed save.

A couple of defensive trialists will also feature in a behind closed door friendly with the Potters.

Steve told the club’s official web-site: “We have organised a friendly with Stoke to give one or two of our players a run out. It is a chance for them to get some game time.

“We want to give Brad a game to get him sharper ahead of the weekend because he has missed a large chunk of training over the last few weeks because of his ankle injury. We will then to decide if he starts or if he is on the bench against Doncaster.

“We will also give one or two a game as well because they haven’t been playing and need a game.

“It also gives Stoke a chance to play a few of their own fringe players and it will give us a chance to have a look at some of their younger prospects as well.

“A couple of trialists will also play. The two centre-halves will play and we will have to make an assessment on them after today.”
