Davis Remains Hopeful Over Bakayogo

26 April 2016

Boss hoping to 'sit down' again with experienced defender before the weekend.

Steve Davis remains hopeful on Zoumana Bakayogo signing a new deal with Crewe Alexandra.

The Alex boss has revealed that he wants to sit down again with the former Leicester City and Tranmere Rovers man at the end of this week after setting a deadline on him deciding on his future.

Bakayogo, 29, has enjoyed an impressive second half of the season after earning himself a short-term deal at the turn of the year following two years of appalling injuries.

Steve told crewealex.net: “We are still hopeful on Zooms and we remain positive on him staying.

“We have set a deadline on that and he understands that, so hopefully we can sit down at the end of the week and see where we go with him.”
