Dalla Valle Wins Community Award

28 April 2016

LDV wins Community Champion Award after services to local community this season.

Crewe Alexandra FC Community Programme is proud to award forward Lauri Dalla Valle with our Community Champion Award for the 2015/16 season. Lauri was awarded his trophy ahead of our mid-week fixture against Colchester United from our Community Manager Ray Walker.

Lauri has participated in a number of Player Appearances at local schools and was involved with the Kinder Kids Cup competition and has been a ‘first class’ representative for Crewe Alexandra FC this season.

The Community department would like to thank Lauri for all his involvement this season. Ray said: “The Crewe players are always willing to help in the local community and manager Steve Davis is extremely helpful in co-ordinating that for us as well.

“They all appreciate the support they get within the local community and hopefully the next generation of Crewe Alexandra supporters enjoy seeing the players at their school, at the Soccer Centre or at the clubs.

“A lot of what the players and staff do within the Crewe community and for charity is often unseen and this is our way of thanking them for their involvement because we know they make a positive impact whenever they are asked to make an appearance or take time out for charity events.”

The PFA Director of CSR, John Hudson added: “The PFA believes that all players who go above and beyond what is expected of them in support of the clubs community engagement programmes throughout the season should be recognised for their commitment.

This Award should highlight and raise awareness of the social responsibilities and impact of our Professional Footballers off the pitch and we would like to extend our congratulations to this season’s recipient of the 2015/16 Community Champion Award.”
