James Collins pleased that Perry Ng and goalkeeper Dave Richards have extended their deals by another 12 months.

James Collins has told the club’s official web-site that he is pleased that Perry Ng and David Richards have seen their contracts extended by a further year. The club activated their options on the two players this week and they will offer cover and competition for Steve Davis’ squad next season.

First team coach James Collins told crewealex.net: “Perry has been terrific for the Under-21s this season and he has probably been the most consistent player for Alex Morris at that level.

“He also made his full debut this season for the first team and he did fine. There is more to come from Perry physically but he has got a super attitude and he will only get better.

“Dave has not had his chance because Ben (Garratt) is hardly ever injured and doesn’t miss many games but when that chance comes, he has to take it. He is a good number two and has the right personality to do handle that because it is never easy training all week and then not having a game.”
