Steve Davis says he will keep faith with his forward players because he believes that will score the goals we will need to start moving up the League One table. Football League clubs are permitted to bring players in again on emergency loan but the Alex boss says he is not looking towards the market for reinforcements for the time being.
The Alex boss has placed his faith in his forward players to produce the goods going forward. He told us: “I have faith in the players we have here. This is what I want to work with. I want to see what our players can do and not consider bringing in other people’s players’ all the time.
“We have players here who can create and score goals. It is up to them to show what they can do. We have exciting and dangerous players and I think we have goals around the team. We could more clinical and it is up to those here to demonstrate that they can be.
“I am sure someone will emerge from our group and get the goals we need. You look at Lauri (Dalla) Valle for instance and you think that if has a run in the team he could become the goalscorer we need.
“Brad can score goals. Ryan has more shots than anyone in the games and if he can convert a few more of them then he would be a real asset for us.
He added: “Callum Ainley has come into the group and he is a potential match winner then we have Callum Saunders and George Cooper waiting for their chance as well. We have also taken young Harry Wilson here and we are excited about seeing him because we feel he can unlock defences.”
