Alex players mentally and physically challenged at Cassius Camp in the Lake District.
Members of the Crewe Alexandra squad were pushed to their limits yesterday as they participated in challenging tasks to test their physical and mental capacity. The squad were taken to a breathtaking estate in the Lake District to test themselves both individually and collectively courtesy of the renowned Cassius Camps.
The hospitality they received from members of the Cassius Group was second to none - but soon stopped once they started on the gruelling tasks throughout the day!
Having been picked up at 5.30am from the Alexandra Stadium they were soon being tested to their ultimate limit to help improve team relationship, mental strength, leadership, self-belief and communication amongst other vital skills for sport and in life.
The specifically designed tasks were designed to push the players to their limit and attempt to build a different mind-set that will assist them going forward in their own careers and as part of a team.
The players were challenged in the great outdoors and although improving their competiveness as individuals and as part of a team, the emergence of team bonding and leadership qualities evidently emerged throughout the day.
The experience is sure to have improved the connection behind mentality and performance and will have made the players and the staff involved aware of how far they can push themselves.
Crewe Alexandra Football Club would like to thank Phil Ercolano
and his staff at Cassius Camps for their hospitality on what is sure to have been an invaluable experience to our players and officials.
