Neil Harris Will Turn Things Around

11 September 2015

Steve Davis says Millwall boss will be working hard to make Lions competitive in League One.

Steve Davis believes Neil Harris is doing a fine job in difficult circumstances following Millwall’s relegation from the Championship.

The Lions arrive in South Cheshire tomorrow for the first time since 2009 with the Railwaymen still looking for their first win of the season. Millwall have performed admirably on their travels this season but struggled for results at The Den, so it makes this weekend’s showdown at Gresty Road even more intriguing.

Steve said of Harris: “We have watched Millwall and prepared right. We have had a presentation on their strengths and weaknesses. We know they are capable of causing us some problems.

They have lost a few players, who would have wanted to play in the Championship or our higher earners but they have also been able to keep a number of them as well and have added to that. “It is always difficult for a club when they are relegated, especially from the Championship when their budgets are completely different.

“It takes a bit time to adjust and make an impact because of the financial restraints that can follow a relegation. Neil certainly knows that club better than anyone, he is a legend there and he will working hard to turn things around to make sure they are competitive in this league.”
