Liverpool's Wilson Can Make A Difference

8 September 2015

Collins says it is great to have young Welshman Harry Wilson with us on loan.

Boosted by his recent goal for Wales Under-21s in Luxembourg, our on-loan forward Harry Wilson is itching to make a difference to Crewe Alexandra according to first team coach James Collins.

Wilson, on loan from Liverpool until early January, has returned to training with Crewe this week after missing last weekend’s home game with Swindon Town because of his International

commitments.

Wilson scored in a 3-1 win for the Welsh after coming off the bench and now the 18-year-old is determined to make his senior debut against Millwall this weekend.

James Collins told the club’s official web-site: “I’ve spoken to Harry since he came back from scoring a goal for Wales and he is itching to make a difference for us. He is a terrific player with a lot of talent and if can add that quality to what we already have then it would be a big help.

“Clubs may have been reluctant to take him on loan because he is looks a slight lad but he is actually strong and stocky and he has the ability to dodge and avoid trouble.

“His goals and assists record at Liverpool is excellent and they wanted to see if he can make that initial step up into competitive football. I’m sure he will show what we can do and show that he has the ability to play in the league.”
