Harry Offers Experience Back There

7 September 2015

Boss on why his club captain was recalled for his first start of the season.

Steve Davis was pleased with the way his club captain Harry Davis came through his first game of the season against Swindon on Saturday. Harry Davis replaced George Ray at the heart of the Crewe defence and he came through the 90 minutes but couldn’t prevent us losing 3-1 late on to Swindon Town.

Following what was an unfortunate home loss, Steve told crewealex.net: “H came through fine and I thought he did well considering it was his first game back.

“He has been out for a long period and overall I thought he did fine, although I will have to look at what happened for their second goal. Overall, I thought it was decent performance from him. Harry adds some experience back there.

“George (Ray) has done some really good things in his performances this season and some not so good. Sometimes he has not been as steady in his performances as we would like and he just needs to find that consistency.”
