Club fear of losing captain again through injury.
Crewe Alexandra captain Harry Davis will undergo a scan on his knee later today to assess the full extent of the damage. Davis was forced off just before the half-time interval at Walsall on Saturday and had to be replaced by George Ray.
Unfortunately, one of the club’s most senior players has tweaked the same knee that saw his missed the end of last season and the beginning of this campaign, but the club are hopeful that it is not as severe as the last one.
Steve told the club’s official web-site: “We won’t know the full extent of the injury until H undergoes a scan.
“He has tweaked the same knee but we are hoping that it is not as bad. It is very disappointing for him and disappointing for the team after he has come back.”
Davis has made four appearances this season after returning from injury.
