Boss says fans backing to the players has been unbelievable at both home and away.

Steve Davis has praised the Crewe Alexandra fans for their ‘terrific’ support and backing they have given the players both at home and away this season. 

The Alex fans have earned rave reviews for the noise they have generated at games during the campaign and with another short trip down the M6 to Walsall tomorrow, Davis says their support could play another major part in getting a result.

The Alex recorded their first win of the season at Shrewsbury last weekend and Steve says that has only added to the confidence running through the Crewe dressing room.

Ahead of the trip to the Midlands, Steve told the club’s official web-site: “The supporters are certainly doing their bit, they have been terrific for us both at home and away.

“We have got to continue to do our bit and play some attractive and entertaining football for them but also get some results.

The boss added: “The fans have been right behind the lads and they make one hell of the difference. It is up to us to give them something to really cheer but they know we are all one team. It’s everyone in it together. The team has needed some time to gel and the fans have helped that with their backing throughout the games. “
