Ryan pleased with his recent performances but he wants to become a real match winner for us.
The in-form Ryan Colclough says there is more to come from him this season as he closes in on regaining his full match sharpness. The Stoke-born winger has started the last five games for the club after signing a new two-year deal in the summer.
Colclough, who has started the season in promising fashion, was able to get a full pre-season under his belt for the first time for a couple of seasons after overcoming his long-term hip problem.
Now the 20-year-old is determined to add more goals and assists to his all-round game and help the team up the League One table.
Colclough told Crewe Alex PlayerHD: “I am just pleased to be backing playing football again and being back on the pitch. Although the results haven’t quite gone for us, I am still enjoying it because I was out for a long time.
“I had a hard time and missed a lot of football. It is never as good watching from the sidelines, it is difficult but I am fit and I just want to play as much as I can and help the team.
“I don’t think I’m quite 100% fit match yet because of the length of time I was out but I am not far off and I’m getting fitter every game. My body struggled a bit with the work load because I haven’t done a full pre-season with two years and I needed more time to recover but I am feeling good now.
“I have tired in the last ten minutes of the games but I am getting there and it won’t be long before I will be able to play two games in a week.
“My personal aim is to play as much as I can and add goals to my game. If I can do that then I know I will help the team. That is my main target to become someone who creates and scores goals for the team.
Ryan added: “I’ve had a few shots cutting in from the right hand side onto my left and I haven’t caught one sweet yet, but when I do then I’m sure more will follow.”
