Club To Hold One Minute Applause

Club to remember the life and career of Tommy Lowry.

August. ndCrewe Alexandra Football Club will be holding a one minute of applause to remember the life and career of Tommy Lowry ahead of our game against Swindon Town. The club legend sadly passed away on Saturday 22

The club’s long-serving right back made a record 436 league appearances for the club between seasons 1966-1977, scoring twice against Carlisle United in 1971 and Brentford four years later. His overall record stands at 481 starts and one substitute appearance in all competitions. It is a record that is unlikely ever to be broken.

Tommy's funeral will be taking place on Monday 7th September at12’o’clock at Crewe Crematorium. Friends of the Football Club, Joseph O’Connell of Crewe will be conducting the Funeral Service and can be contacted on 01270 584447.
