LDV: "We Have To Keep Doing The Right Things"

13 October 2015

Saturday's match winner determined to turn away form into home points.

Alex striker Lauri Dalla Valle firmly believes that if we continued to do the right things at the Alexandra Stadium then that elusive first win at home will come soon rather than later. The Alex host in-form Gillingham at the weekend still looking for that first success at home this season, but the club’s bubbly Finn is convinced that if we can transfer some of our resilience from recent away performances into our home form then we will get back to winning ways.

Dalla Valle’s winning goal at Oakwell last Saturday took Crewe’s recent run of form on the road to seven points out of a possible nine available.

Dalla Valle says it is just a question of working hard and executing the game plan at Gresty Road to turn those results around.

The former Fulham man told crewealex.net: “That is the real beauty of sport and football that anything can happen. In football games can go either way and we have found that this season.

“We have played well at home and had a lot of the ball. We have passed it well and created chances and ended up losing when we didn’t deserve to. Then we go away and collect points people don’t expect us to. That's football.

“I am sure that if we stick to the game plan at home and work as hard as we have done in every game then we will pick up points at home as well.

LDV added: “Football is full of ups and downs and it doesn’t go to plan or go your own way all the time. You just have to keep doing things the right way, both individually and collectively and if you do then you come out of it. “
