Fox Honoured To Captain The Club

1 October 2015

David Fox wishes he had inherited the armband in better circumstances.

The club’s experienced midfielder David Fox says he is more than happy to reclaim the captain’s armband, but the former Manchester United trainee wishes it had been in better circumstances.

Summer signing Fox has once again inherited the captain’s role after Harry Davis was unfortunately ruled out with a knee injury and although he regards the job as an honour, he wishes H was still out for us.

Fox told the club’s official web-site: “I enjoyed being captain and it was an honour when the manager gave me the armband at the start of the season.

“I just wish that I had the armband in better circumstances because Harry is our club captain and it was great to have him back. He is a great captain who leads by example both on and off the pitch and he is a good voice to have in the dressing room.

Fox added: “It is a big blow to us to lose Harry and although I don’t mind being the captain as it is pleasure, I wish it was in nicer circumstances because you don’t want to see your team-mates out injured for any period of time.”
